2018 • The Beginning
SMR Music Edits is founded.
What started as a passion for music, performance, and creativity became the foundation for everything that followed. The original logo represents the birth of SMR and the first steps of an incredible journey. Mad props to our friend Gavin Farrell for our first logo before discovering the joy of Canva!
2022 • Finding Our Identity
A fresh look for a growing company.
As SMR continued to expand, the brand evolved with a cleaner, more professional visual identity. This era marked increased growth and the beginning of a stronger online presence.
2023 • Where Silence Is Golden
The introduction of a signature philosophy.
This logo introduced the slogan "Where Silence Is Golden," (technically it got introduced in the previous logo) reflecting the belief that every sound, transition, and moment of silence plays a vital role in creating memorable performances.
2025 • The Modern Era
Refined. Focused. Professional.
SMR entered a new phase with a more polished brand identity designed to reflect the quality and precision clients had come to expect. This period saw continued growth and expanded creative possibilities.
2026 • Season IX: Ascension
The final season of SMR Music Edits.
Ascension represents growth, transformation, and looking toward the future. This logo symbolizes everything SMR has become while preparing for its biggest evolution yet.

2027 • SMR SoundWorks
A new name. A bigger vision.
After nearly a decade of growth, SMR Music Edits evolves into SMR SoundWorks. While the name changes, the passion, dedication, and commitment to excellence remain exactly the same.
The next chapter begins Summer 2027.

As we look toward the future, it became clear that the company had grown beyond the name that started it all.
That's why, beginning with Season X (2027–28), SMR Music Edits will officially become SMR SoundWorks.
This transformation is more than a new logo or a new name. It represents the natural evolution of everything SMR has become—and everything it will continue to be.

A Message From Steven
When I launched SMR Music Edits in 2018, I never imagined where this journey would lead.
What began as a simple passion for music, creativity, and performance has grown into something far greater than I ever could have imagined. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with incredible studio owners, choreographers, performers, and organizations who trusted me to help bring their visions to life through music.
Every edit, every production, every recital, and every performance has helped shape SMR into what it is today.
As I reflect on the past nine seasons, I am filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the clients who returned year after year. Gratitude for the relationships built along the way. Gratitude for the opportunity to do what I love and share that passion with others.
Season IX: Ascension is especially meaningful because it represents both a celebration and a transition. It celebrates everything SMR Music Edits has accomplished since 2018 while looking ahead to the exciting future that awaits.
In Summer 2027, SMR Music Edits will become SMR SoundWorks.
While the name will change, the heart of this company will remain exactly the same. The commitment to quality, creativity, professionalism, and exceptional customer service that has defined SMR from the very beginning will continue to guide everything we do.
SMR SoundWorks represents the next chapter in a story that is still being written. A story built on growth, innovation, and a relentless passion for creating exceptional audio experiences.
Before I close, there are several people I need to thank.
First and foremost, my parents, Christine and Sam. When this dream existed only in my mind, you believed in me and my vision. You supported me when I wasn't sure this would ever become a reality and helped me in more ways than anyone could ever imagine. Your encouragement, guidance, and unwavering love helped build the foundation upon which SMR stands today.

To my sister, Rebecca — thank you for being my very first client and for introducing me to the More Than Just Great Dancing community. You have been so much more than a client. You are an incredible sister, wife, mother, mentor, and my best friend. Your belief in me gave me the confidence to pursue this dream when I wasn't sure where it would lead.
