Steven M. Rivera, the esteemed founder and CEO of SMR Music Edits, has been a driving force in the music editing industry since he founded the company in the fall of 2018. Steven's passion for music editing dates back to his childhood, where he first delved into the art using cassettes. As technology advanced, Steven transitioned to computer-based music editing in 2005, expanding his skills and honing his craft.

Notably, Steven's journey is marked by resilience and determination. Despite being born prematurely and facing various disabilities, he never let these challenges hinder his pursuit of his passion. In Steven's own words, "that doesn’t hold me back in any regard from pursuing my passion."

The idea for SMR Music Edits stemmed from Steven's vision, which he shared with his family for their guidance and input. With his sister owning a dance studio, Steven sought advice on how to turn his dream into reality. Acknowledging his sister’s and parents pivotal role, Steven emphasizes, "honestly I couldn’t do any of this without their guidance and help."

Thanks to Steven's unwavering dedication and the invaluable support of his family, SMR Music Edits has thrived, serving as a testament to Steven's indomitable spirit and determination. Through his pioneering work, Steven continues to inspire others to overcome barriers and pursue their aspirations, regardless of the obstacles they may face.

We are thrilled to introduce our newest co-director, Miss Rebecca Tyler (formerly known as Miss Rebecca Rivera). Her crucial role as co-director involves making important business decisions alongside Steven. Rebecca has been an integral part of the SMR family since the company's inception, not only as a staff member, but as Steven's sister.The unbreakable bond between Rebecca and Steven has been a driving force in Steven's journey, with Rebecca providing unwavering support and encouragement. When Steven decided to establish SMR Music Edits, Rebecca, along with their parents Samuel and Christine, was among the first to embrace the opportunity to help Steven achieve his dreams.Beyond her role as co-director, Rebecca is a highly accomplished businesswoman and an acclaimed dancer with multiple awards for her exceptional skills and choreography. As an ABT-certified professional and a coach for More Than Just Great Dancing, Rebecca brings a wealth of expertise to her position.Rebecca's dedication to the arts extends to her ownership and operation of Limitless Performing Arts Complex, a prestigious dance studio in Sidney, NY. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her reliance on SMR Music Edits for the impeccable sound production for Limitless recitals and Tri County Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker," an event orchestrated by the ballet-based company she established in 2017.Steven recognizes Rebecca's unwavering support, both professionally and personally, and expresses his gratitude for her contributions, acknowledging the profound impact she has made on his life. In her leisure time, Rebecca enjoys traveling, reading, and cherishing moments with her family, including her husband Callahan and their two children, Theodore and Frederick.
